Our Learn to Skate Programs:

The Preschool and Learn to Skate and Jump Start programs for children 3 and up are excellent preparation for skating in general, speed skating, hockey, ringuette and figure skating.  The programs encourage skaters to participate at their own level of interest and skill.  They combine music, warm-up exercises, group instruction, ice games and a warm-down period.

Junior Power and Canpower Skate are programs designed for children interested in hockey or ringuette.  Skaters, 4 years and up, should already have basic forward and backward skating skills and be able to stop.  These programs emphasize fun, participation, challenge and achievement, while perfecting basic techniques.  Skaters will develop better balance, power, agility, speed and endurance.  Skaters who master these techniques are better able to concentrate on stick handling, positioning and specific game skills.

Adult skating is growing in popularity and more clubs offer a fun, learning and social opportunity to this segment of the population.  Adult championships currently provide opportunities to adult skaters to experience the challenge of a competition in a social environment.
